“Two words and the second one is Brilliant! I just had the weekend from Hell and it cheered me up no end!”
We’re chuffed to have just received the above endorsement and some words of encouragement from Liverpool football stadium announcer George Sephton (pictured below). What’s more, he’s even going to play some tunes from the Under The Mud soundtrack and give us a shout-out at the next few home games, helping to further spread the word – thanks George!
And that’s not the only exciting news we’ve had recently – it’s now official that Under The Mud is going to be available for download from iTunes from 2nd November. Under The Mud HQ is also currently packed to the rafters with boxes of hot-off-the-press shiny new DVDs, each complete with an hour of extras, and these are going to be available to buy in HMV and Borders from the November release date too.
But of course, we want to make sure the DVDs positively fly off the shelves when they’re out – so keep spreading the word and getting your friends and family to pledge a few quid towards getting our amazing Mud bus on the road.
Be quick though…a little bird tells us that some local radio DJs are going to be getting involved with our campaign next week, so make sure you get the credit for discovering us before everyone knows!

George Sephton at work!
Wow, we only launched our Kickstarter campaign on Friday and already we’re the best part of $400 closer to our goal of getting enough money to spread the word about Under The Mud by painting a Liverpool bus.
Thanks so much to all backers so far – we couldn’t be more excited about this and we’re shouting it from the rooftops. We will of course be making regular updates to keep you informed both here and via Kickstarter, but if you want to hear from us via another medium (or just can’t get enough of Under The Mud!), you can:
Also – we really appreciate everyone that’s tweeted about Under The Mud. It’s so lovely that people are helping the film get the attention it deserves, so if you’re big on Twitter, or you just think your Mum/mate/colleague/dentist/whatever might be into what we’re doing, please do spread the word!
We’ll be back with more of an update soon (some exciting things going on here in Liverpool!), but that’s it from us for the time being. Onwards!
Love,
The Under The Mud team
The “Making of Under the Mud” documentary won the Best Regional Programme Award from the Royal Television Society. Director Sol Papadopoulos picked up the gong (a piece of plastic actually!) at a gala dinner on Saturday 17th November. The Granada Editions programme followed Mud writer/actors Lenny Wood and Mick Colligan to the Sonoma and Cannes film festivals and told the story of how this epic film finally got made.
